The goal of all fundraisers is to provide support for the students and teachers of Childs School.

School fundraising activities finance many of the exciting activities that go on at our school. Some of the easiest ways to contribute require a little of your time, rather than your money. These include clipping the Box Tops for Education labels from your groceries or designating Childs as a recipient of "community funds" while grocery shopping at Kroger. During our spring carnival, there are many opportunities to donate small items, such as baked goods or items for the silent auction.

Most importantly, the greatest gift you can give our school is your time. Consider joining a PTO committee or volunteering to work in a classroom or at a carnival booth. Your involvement helps our school, and it shows your children that you value education and are willing to give of yourself to make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Some ways you can help are: Box Tops for Education

When you purchase groceries, watch for the Box Tops for Education symbol. Clip the symbols and deposit them in a container in front of the school office. Childs School receives 10 cents for each symbol collected. An additional way to earn Box Tops for Education is to sign up for e-BoxTops by going to https://www.boxtops4education.com/marketplace and signing up to earn Box Tops for Childs without the collecting and cutting.  For more information, please go to the above site for details. Kroger Gift Cards/Community Rewards Program

Kroger recently ended the reloadable gift card program and has now launched their new Community Rewards Program.  Earning money for Childs Elementary couldn’t be easier! 

Simply follow these steps:

1. Go to https://www.kroger.com/communityrewards

2. Create an account

3. Register your Kroger Plus Card number

4. Enroll your Plus Card in the Community Rewards program to Childs Elementary School’s account (enter Childs’ number BD740 or search for Childs Elementary)

After enrollment, each time you shop at Kroger and present your Kroger Plus Card, Childs Elementary will earn rewards.  Once a household member enrolls his/her card, all linked Kroger Plus Cards within that household will begin earning funds for Childs.  (Some restrictions apply – fuel, alcohol, and tobacco are excluded). 

Your Kroger Plus Card can be linked to only one organization at a time, but you can change your nonprofit organization designation online at any time.  

Pizza X Proof of Purchase Tabs

Save your Pizza X proof of purchase tabs (POPs) to get money for Childs! Help us raise money for Childs by bringing in your Pizza X POPs cut out from the Large and Extra Large pizza boxes. This program will continue to run indefinitely so keep saving your POPs! Pizza X will give us 25 cents for each POP. Collection tubs will be in the front hallway by the Box Tops’ collection box. Thank you!

Childs Night Out

Childs PTO arranges these events at local restaurants or kid-friendly locations. All families are invited to attend (bring friends!) and are typically asked to bring a flyer or voucher with them. At the end of the night, all Childs patrons are counted, and a percentage of the amount we spend is given back to the Childs PTO. Take-out orders apply as well. Just remember to tell your server or cashier you are from Childs!

Childs Carnival and Silent Auction

Held every year in the Spring, the Carnival and Silent Auction is the biggest fundraiser of the year, and without a doubt, the most fun! The festivities include carnival games, a pizza supper, a cake walk, a bake sale, a raffle, and a silent auction of items donated by Childs families and local businesses. The carnival is an enormous project requiring the efforts of many people, in roles both large and small. There are so many ways to help, so please plan on being a part of the carnival!

AmazonSmile is a simple way for you to support Childs Elementary PTO every time you shop, at no cost to you.  AmazonSmile is available on your web browser and can be activated in the Amazon shopping app for iOS and Android phones.  When you shop with AmazonSmile, you'll find the exact same low prices, vast selection and convenient shopping experience as Amazon.com, with the added benefit that AmazonSmile will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to Childs Elementary PTO.  

Simply go to smile.amazon.com on your web browser or activate AmazonSmile in the Amazon shopping app within the settings or programs and features menu.  On your web browser, you can add a bookmark to smile.amazon.com to make it even easier to return and start your shopping with AmazonSmile.
